In this way, it differs from the majority of other coffee-making methods that utilize hot water. With cold brew, the water is generally held at room temperature but the process can also be done with chilled water. Though the majority of coffee history has been dominated by everyone’s favorite caffeinated beverage being made through the use of hot water, cold brew has become increasingly popular in recent years.
